About Us

Valerie Kimble, a native of Salt Lake City, Utah, has been a resident of Vigo County since 1999. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a Masters of Business Administration from LaGrange College in LaGrange, Georgia.

Valerie worked 16 years in engineering/management before suffering from a job loss resulting in many years of denial and financial distress. At that point, Valerie decided instead of returning to the corporate world to follow her passion of helping others. She gained success in direct sales where success is only achieved by helping others succeed. Recognizing that she was not the only one with financial difficulties, her passion of helping others resulted in the formation of Common Sense Financial.

The mission of Common Sense Financial is to help others master their money and help them achieve financial peace. Valerie has attended and completed Dave Ramsey’s Counselor Training⁽¹⁾. She has also facilitated several Financial Peace University courses through her church.
